God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things

One key component of my work in Slovakia is youth ministry. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, I had the privilege of ministering to middle and high school students in Nové Zámky for over 10 years. I engaged with these students by visiting schools and teaching conversational English. This ministry allowed pre-teens and teenagers to meet up, build relationships, be challenged, and have fun. The language piece was a tool for sharing the Gospel. It was the door through which relationships were built. God worked through our one-on-one conversations with students. Through this ministry, we have shared the Gospel with students throughout the west of Slovakia. We hope to plant seeds to reach this generation for Christ.

In January 2023, I partnered with a new church in Komarno, Slovakia. I now work with church members to visit local schools and organize youth outreach programs to connect students and teachers to the church. We want to build relationships and connect them to Christians, so they will someday come to know Christ as their savior. I also have an exciting chance to mentor young student leaders in the region. I will equip these Christian students with strategies to share their faith with their peers. Together, we will be the hands and feet of Jesus. I hope every student we meet will be known, loved, and cared for.
